For just 48 hours this October, The Chicago Architecture Foundation’s hosts Chicago’s annual architecture festival. The weekend of October 15th – 16th you can tour, explore, and learn the history of Chicago’s iconic architecture throughout the city. This is completely free to Open House Chicago goers and additional information can be found on the OpenHouseChicago.org website. The website also offers a way for supporters to DONATE so they can keep Open House Chicago free!
There are 200 incredible sites to see on the Open House Chicago tour ranging from the New Regal Theater, 1580 E 79th St to the Alice Millar Chapel at Northwestern University, 1870 Sheridan Rd. The range of places you can see is endless, from the Columbia Yacht Club to the Orchestra Hall at Symphony Center, churches, museums, temples, conservatory’s and more this year’s list will not disappoint. Grab your comfy shoes, ventra card, and camera and see why Chicago is the most beautiful city in the world.
